Cookie policy
Last updated 9 August 2026
Short version: we do not use advertising or tracking cookies, we do not profile you across other websites, and that is why you are not being asked to dismiss a cookie banner.
The website
closetswipe.co.uk sets no cookies at all.
We do measure how many people visit the site and which pages they land on, because otherwise we have no idea whether anything we do is working. We use privacy friendly analytics that are cookieless: they count visits without storing anything on your device, without a persistent identifier, and without following you anywhere else. No personal data is collected, and nothing is shared with advertisers.
Under UK law a consent banner is required for cookies and similar technologies that are not strictly necessary. Because we do not use any, no banner is needed. That was a deliberate choice, not an oversight.
The app
The ClosetSwipe app is not a website and does not use cookies. It does store a small amount of data on your device so it can work at all:
| What is stored | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Your sign in session | So you are not asked to log in every time you open the app | Until you sign out |
| App preferences and cached content | So the app opens quickly and remembers your settings | Until you clear it or remove the app |
| Push notification token | So we can send the notifications you have turned on | Until you turn notifications off or remove the app |
All of this is strictly necessary for the app to function, or is switched on by your own choice in the case of notifications.
Third parties
When you pay for something, the payment is handled by Stripe, and Stripe may set its own cookies or store data as part of processing the payment and preventing fraud. That is covered by Stripe's privacy policy.
We do not run advertising pixels from any social network, including on pages you reach from a link in a TikTok or Instagram profile.
Controlling what is stored
You can clear stored data at any time through your browser settings on the website, or by clearing the app's data or removing the app on your phone. Signing out clears your session.
Changes
If we ever introduce something that does require consent, we will update this page and ask you first.
Questions about any of this go to support@closetswipe.co.uk.
